Welcome

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to the National Medical Association’s 121st Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly Website! It is indeed my honor to host the 2023 annual meeting in the “Big Easy” July 29–August 2, 2023 . The Hyatt Regency New Orleans is our host hotel and the location for all scientific sessions and conference activities. This year’s theme is Accelerating the March Toward Health Equity; our plenary and educational sessions will highlight racial, social, and environmental justice and health equity in ways that will both challenge and inspire.  The stakes are especially high for our community, and the time is now to move the needle toward justice and equity.  The NMA will continue to be the trusted voice, credible messenger, and fierce advocate for our communities, our profession, and our patients.

Our convention website is your central source for all things related to the annual meeting, including registration, continuing medical education programming, travel and accommodations, special events, The Auxiliary to the National Medical Association and more!   Please bookmark this website and visit often for the latest information and updates.

Thank you for your continued support of the National Medical Association.   I am very excited about this year’s programming and look forward to seeing everyone in New Orleans, Louisiana!  As they say, laissez les bon temps roulez!

Sincerely,

Garfield Clunie, M.D.
President
